Marina Boulevard is one of the city's most affluent neighborhoods and has some of the most amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge around. The Exploratorium is also located on Marina Boulevard and is a favorite of children and adults. Visitors get to delve in to the wonders of science as they get the chance to conduct experiments firsthand. The Exploratorium is also surrounded by a lagoon filled with swans which is just perfect for the animal lover.
The Fort Mason Center is located just east of Marina Boulevard and serves as a tribute to the military. Built by Spanish troops in 1797, the fort is now home to several museums as well as art and cultural groups. Another historical military site is the Presidio. The park was once an active military base and features miles of hiking trails, bike routes as well as beaches and picnic areas.
Marina Green runs along the edge of the Bay and is the perfect place for those that want to do a little jogging, walking, and kite flying or just wants to have a leisurely picnic on the grass.

Crissy Field is the final tourist attraction in the Marina District. It is a stretch of shoreline that runs from Marina Green to the Golden Gate. The Bay Area Ridge Trail stretches out for two and a half miles and is perfect for both hikers and bikers.
