Mezzanine

Mezzanine
444 Jessie St
San Francisco, CA 94103

Due to the fact that Mezzanine is located in an alley, the club can be kind of hard to find. Of course once you do find it you will be glad that you went through all the trouble. Of course Mezzanine isn't just a night club, it's also an art gallery and performance studio all rolled into one.
Boasting a distinct industrial chic type flair, Mezzanine sports all of the chic yet unfurnished aspects that you would expect from the person who made the San Francisco Club Universe famous. The industrial aspect comes from the iron railings, exposed beams and large skylights. The chic aspect comes when you take into account the state of the art bar area, the sound system that pounds out the hits and a lighting system that bathes the entire club in light.
The ground floor features a large dance floor that is packed with bodies for the weekly Saturday gay night. The crowds are much smaller during the week so that allows for couches to be brought in and give the dance floor a much more cozy and intimate feel.
The upstairs area features a separate bar area and a balcony for those that want to scope out all the action on the ground floor. There is a VIP area that comes with private seating and bottle service for those that want to feel like high rollers.
For those that don't mind a little bit of a challenge when it comes to finding a club, the Mezzanine is well worth your efforts, just be sure to check out the scenery from up above.
