Hemlock Tavern
1131 Polk St
San Francisco, CA 94109

While many bars and club in San Francisco leave you bumping elbows with your neighbor or gasping for air like a fish, the Hemlock Tavern is exactly the opposite.
Decorated in a distinct Midwestern motif, the Hemlock features one of the longest bars in the city as it splits the building into two areas. The backroom is designated as a music lounge reserved for live bands and those that want to kick back with their drinks while enjoying a few good tunes. The back area also features a heated patio area for those that want to take the party outdoors no matter what the weather is like.
The front area is designated for those that just want to sit back and shoot the breeze with a few friends with minimal distractions.
The club has become a popular spot for patrons to swing by after spending the evening at the nearby Great American Music Hall. While the bar does feature a vast array of DJ's, it also relies on what many consider to be the best stocked jukebox in the city when live entertainment isn't scheduled
Despite being in business for a little over four years, it's easy to see why the Hemlock has quickly become the next big thing on the nightlife scene.
