Harry Denton's Starlight Room
450 Powell St
San Francisco, CA 94102

For those looking to set the dance floor on fire, try checking out Harry Denton's Starlight Room. With the bubbling champagne, mirrored ceilings, disco ball and glittering chandeliers, the Starlight Room provides a haunting reminder to the 1980's and the post disco era. The Starlight Room also provides some of the best views of the city as patrons can kick back and relax while enjoying the view or watching the action out on the dance floor.
Patrons might be advised to show up early on Friday and Saturday nights as lines can be stretched out into the downstairs lobby of the Sir Francis Drake. Don't expect to get in with your torn jeans and raggedy shirt as the dress code for those nights are close to black tie. For those wanting to go while the dress code is a little less strict, try going during the week when the club has a little bit more of a Vegas lounge feel to it. For the cheapos, there is no cover charge on Tuesday nights and nobody cares about the holes in your jeans.
The crowd is a little bit more laid back, too as it can vary from hotel guests to senior citizens. Wednesday nights bring a little bit more of a party crowd as the music has more of a house party feel to it and the crowd is a little bit younger and better dressed.
So, if you are looking for a place that combines the modern conviences of today but also harkens back to the glory days of the 70's then head on over to Harry Denton's Starlight Room.
