Cafè Royale
800 Post St.
San Francisco, CA 94109

Partially modeled after an old time speakeasy, the Cafè Royale is the perfect place for those seeking a more relaxed discreet interlude.
The main downstairs room is perfect for those that want to just lounge around and let your inner diva out by reclining on a burgundy velvet crescent shaped couch. There is a magazine rack in the back of the club for those that want to expand their horizons while a pool table is situated over by a picture window for those that want to get a quick game of 8 ball in. A balcony circles the club and is perfect for those that are looking for a more romantic setting while they take in all the action happening in the club.
For those that are looking to get a few drinks, the club specializes in an eclectic selection. While there is only half a dozen beers on tap, the club make up for it with its soju cocktails. The club also has a nice selection of food as it features baguette sandwiches, homemade soup and quiche.
For those that come hoping to check out the tunes, the house DJ plays a house mix on Friday and Saturday nights. The club has also been known to occasionally host literary events during the week.
For those that are looking for a little something a little bit out of the norm while still being able to sit back and enjoy yourself at the same time, give the Cafè Royale a try.
