In what may be called a mish-mash of styles, Anu Lounge offers up a variety of culture nuances and has quickly become one of the most intriguing bars in San Francisco.
Named after the Celtic goddess of fertility, Anu gives off a distinct part Mexican restraint, part Irish pub vibe. Looking for a place that hasn't been overrun by the trendy and chic crowd or just grown tired of having to scream at the top of your lungs to be heard of the ear shattering music? Then you may want to check out the small and cozy lounge. Decked out with walls covered in Mexican art and red lanterns hanging from the ceiling, the lounge is the perfect place to just hang out, grab a taco and enjoy a couple of drinks that the lounge has become known for.
With drinks like the appletini, Bloody Bastard (an extra spicy version of the Bloody Mary) and jugs of infused vodka made with freshly squeezed juices such as Mango and Strawberry, it is easy to see why Anu has become a favorite for those that want something more than just the normal Coors Light.
Of course just because Anu isn't known as your run of the mill dance club, that doesn't mean that it doesn't cater to those that are looking to listen to a few tunes. The lounge regularly brings in guest DJ's and also has a state of the art Internet jukebox that accepts credit cards.
So, if you are looking to break away from the norm of the night club lifestyle, head over to Anu and experience a retreat for modern living.
