San Francisco, CA 94103
Searching for something a little bit different to due during your visit to San Francisco, then head on over to Metreon. Located in the heart of downtown Metreon is an entertainment complex that combines games, shopping, food and movies.
With the latest in gaming technology Metreon is the Mecca for gamers. Check out free demos of Playstation, try out the top games that were voted on at the Walk of Game Station or test your skills at HyperBowl at Portal One.
For those that have a couple of minutes before heading up to check out their movie, try stopping by Reactrix. Located on the ground floor Reactrix specializes in games that are activated by shadows. You can also choose from more than half a dozen video games.
The third floor is home to San Francisco's largest movie theater complex as it features 15 screens to go along with an IMAX Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the box office on the ground floor as well as kiosks on the third floor. Speaking of the third floor, it's the perfect place to check out the Yerba Buena Gardens Esplande as well as the city skyline.
Once you are done with your movie you can head back down and check out the Walk of Game. It is one of a kind as it pays homage to the makers of video games and the industry pioneers. New members are inducted each year and are honored with a star that is installed on the floor of the complex.
