Grace Cathedral
1100 California St.
San Francisco, CA

For those that are feeling the need to get in touch with their religious side, the Grace Cathedral is a must see.
Established during the Gold Rush, the church was destroyed during a fire in 1906. The chapel was re-established as the Crocker family donated their Nob Hill property. Completed in 1964, the church was decorated in a French Gothic style and quickly became the third biggest Episcopal church in North America.
Known for its Ghiberti doors which has been nicknamed as "The Gates of Paradise." The cathedral also features labyrinths, stained glass as well as medieval and contemporary furnishings. The cathedral also features a choir loft, organs and carillon.
One of the newest additions to the church came in 1995 when the cathedral block was completed with a courtyard Chapter House, new front stairway and Cathedral School.
Whether you are Catholic or just somebody looking a little bit of diving guidance, you will see why the Grace Cathedral has become one of the top international pilgrimage center for church-goers and visitors.
