Golden Gate Bridge

You can't make a trip to San Francisco without checking out the very thing that has come to symbolize the city, the Golden Gate Bridge.

Known as one of the most recognizable bridges on the planet, millions of people travel along it every year as they make their way from Marin County to downtown San Francisco.

The bridge measured just over a mile long and can be crossed by car, bike and by foot. The bridge crosses the 400-foot deep Golden Gate Strait while its towers stretch 746 feet.

The orange-colored bridge is designed in an Art Deco theme and follows the same design as other city landmarks Coit Tower and Nob Hill.

The majestic Golden Gate Bridge as seen from the Bay cruise.Of course you can't leave the city without taking a photo of the bridge, luckily there is plenty of places such as Fisherman's Wharf that will allow for a photo opportunity. For those that are looking to get a closer picture, a bay cruise will take you right past the bridge.

For those that want to have something to remember their trip to San Francisco, a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge gives you the perfect memory that will last you a lifetime.
